Why make this?
This is a very popular drink in Ireland and you’ll find it in every pub here. It’s served hot so perfect on a rainy winter day. If you’re feeling under the weather, the cloves are such a comfort. You can use any brand of Irish whiskey you may have, but for me, it has to be Jameson.
Celiacs/coeliacs/gluten intolerant:
High-end whiskeys are widely considered to be gluten-free once they’ve gone through the distilling process and therefore, safe for us to drink. If you’re unsure or would like to check this, then please contact the makers of your favourite whiskey before taking a sip on a GF diet!
